He focuses on all aspects of intellectual property including counseling clients on trademark, counterfeiting, copyright, trade secret and patent matters. Mr. Paradise has extensive experience with both large and small scale litigation matters in both federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels.
He is also experienced in practicing before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in the United States Patent and Trademark Office concerning trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings.
Mr. Paradise has counseled clients in a variety of fields including pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, electronics, computer games, retail consumer goods, cosmetics, consumer foods, animal health care, clothing and footwear, rug and carpet design, insurance and financial services. He has advised companies on intellectual property matters involved in corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate naming and branding projects. Mr. Paradise has extensive experience with trademark and counterfeiting matters including seizures, preliminary injunctions, and coordination with federal and local law enforcement agencies.
Mr. Paradise also has experience with large-scale patent infringement matters. His technical background is in computer science engineering with particular emphasis on robotics, machine vision, and artificial intelligence. He interned at Grumman Aerospace Corporation on Long Island where he worked in the Corporate Research Center in the High Energy Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (Shock Tube Facility) and in the Electro-Optics Laboratory.
During law school, Mr. Paradise also interned in the chambers of a Federal Bankruptcy Judge in New York City.
